FIVE ‘Nad mad’ Big Brother fans were in London to see their star win the reality TV competition. Cheryl Farnham, Annika Fusellier, Jeanne Le Cocq, Louise Le Prevost and Kaylie Jill Guillou, all 19, each paid £25 to be outside the famous house as Davina McCall announced the winner.
Tickets were changing hands on the black market for about £250 before the show started.
They left the island on Friday and got to the Elstree site at 6pm. After queuing for two hours, they managed to secure places right in front of the stage - with an excellent view of their favourite housemate.
‘Cheryl had the idea to go after the third eviction,’ said Miss Le Prevost, an administration assistant for the States.
She and Miss Farnham admitted to being addicted to the 10-week show. Friday nights over the last couple of months have consisted of them staying in with a bottle of wine to watch the latest eviction.
Miss Fusellier said the house was smaller than they had expected, but the whole experience had been well worth the £150 it cost for flights and a hotel.
Portuguese transsexual Nadia Almada, who walked away with £63,500, won over millions of viewers and had been tipped to win.
The girls, who all went to Les Beaucamps School, admired her for her attitude in the house.
Nadia kept secret from her housemates the fact that she had been born a man and had entered to be accepted by society.
‘It was very emotional; there were a lot of people in tears when she won it. It had to be her,’ said Miss Le Prevost.
The great atmosphere was also possible because of presenters Davina and Dermot O’Leary, they said.
‘When we got there, Davina was great. People were screaming all night, not because they were being told to, but because it was a great atmosphere,’ said Miss Le Cocq.
Miss Guillou, who described herself as Jason’s number one fan, was the only one in the group to support him.
The Glaswegian came second.
They also felt sorry for the way ‘bunny boiler’ Michelle had been portrayed in the media and blamed Big Brother.
‘She was edited very badly. If you watch it through the day, she was not like that, but it is just the way they wanted her to look,’ said Miss Le Prevost.
Michelle spotted her banner in the crowd on Friday night and waved to her, she added.
For the next Big Brother, the girls plan to try and get VIP tickets.
