A CASTEL family fear their pedigree dog has been stolen. Jodie Knott, 12, was given the ruby-coloured King Charles cavalier spaniel on her sixth birthday when he was a puppy. Someone came into the garden in the Genats Estate last Saturday evening and left the gate to the garden open. Both Prince and their Staffordshire bull terrier, Sapph, disappeared. Only Sapph came back, the next morning.
‘I think someone has taken him because he is a full pedigree and they cost a lot of money and he is such a loveable dog,’ said Jodie.
‘Sapph looks scarier so if someone saw her wandering around, they might not have touched her.
‘We’ve put posters up in the estate and driven around to try to find her, but we haven’t had any luck. I miss him a lot and know he will be missing me too.’
Jodie’s mother, Lulu, said that the house was distraught and very quiet. People have no excuse not to get in touch, because Prince is wearing a collar with a name and number.
‘They cost about £600 over here to buy so we think someone might have stolen her,’ she said.
