Business from the Guernsey Press

Rebrand follows five years of Active growth

AFTER five successful years in business, the Active Group has launched a new brand identity. Chief executive Wayne Bulpitt said the change to the brand logo and communication material reflected the changes in the business in those five years and the challenges that faced it in future.

The business advisory service has recently opened offices in Jersey and the Isle of Man.

‘Our business model had shifted since our inception and we felt we needed to review our identity to reflect those changes in the services we provide,’ said Mr Bulpitt.

‘Being active is all about progress, cutting edge, enthusiasm and getting results. It describes what we do as a company, always looking for opportunity, always thinking forward, always helping our clients and staff move forward.’

Active commissioned creative consultancy Omnia to undertake a brand audit to review its existing identity and develop a rationale and strategy to move the new identity forward.

The new brand logo shows the dot of the ‘i’ being left behind the word, Active, carrying the tagline, ‘never stand still’.

When Mr Bulpitt launched Active five years ago, there was just him and one other employee. Now the Guernsey office boasts 36 staff.

‘We currently have 90 of Guernsey’s regulated companies as clients so we have grown fairly well.’

Active provides a combination of accounting, marketing, fund, investment, banking and insurance support, but specialises in providing businesses with compliance and corporate secretarial services.

Managing director Graham Basham said it was important to have a team with experience in different areas.

‘We can provide for large companies through to small companies, but they tend to be in the finance industry,’ said Mr Basham.

Mr Bulpitt said the aim for the future was to expand further but maintain the same level of quality service.

‘The Active Group in Guernsey is looking to recruit, as are our Jersey and Isle of Man offices.’
