BELS have the Priaulx title in the bag - if you listen to rival bosses Colin Fallaize and Micky Le Prevost. On the day the league leaders came from behind to edge out St Martin’s 2-1 at the Track and North crashed 3-2 to Rangers at St Andrew’s, Bels’ challengers were all but hoisting the white flags of surrender.
‘It’s theirs to lose now,’ said Fallaize, whose team had taken an early lead but were sunk by two second-half strikes from Marc McGrath.
It was Saints’ second defeat in a week and Fallaize admitted scoring goals is an ongoing problem.
‘We’ve got to work hard for our goals at the moment.
‘We set out our stall to do what we did, but it didn’t quite work out in the end,’ he admitted.
Le Prevost has not given up on the title but will be aware it is fast becoming out of their reach.
‘It [the title] is a long way off for us,’ said the North coach after seeing his team just fail to overhaul a 3-0 first-half deficit.
Sylvans, meanwhile, continue to challenge for a top-three spot and beat Rovers 3-0 at St Peter’s.
