A SENIOR partner of an international accountancy firm in Jersey recently spoke about the major changes that will take place in the island’s tax system in the next few years.
He joked that one of the burdens it faced in the future would have to be the setting up of a fund to save Guernsey.
More seriously, Jersey’s Minister for Economic Development said in an interview for Business Brief that he was genuinely worried about Guernsey’s fiscal strategy because of the effect it would have on the islands as a whole.
