Online voters give red card to swearing

GUERNSEY’S footballing public has backed a zero tolerance policy on swearing in football. In a Guernsey Press on-line survey, out of 215 votes cast a significant 152 were in favour and just 63 against.

But, for the time being, the Guernsey Football Association has refused to reveal its official stance on the issue and whether it would support such a move.

‘Draft proposals for the National Game Strategy will be discussed at our open forum on Monday which will cover this, and a huge variety of other topics,’ said the GFA’s PR officer James Blower.
