BOTH the island’s under-15s and under-17s have been handed tough draws in their debut ICC European Division One tournament this summer.
In July, the under-17s travel to Ireland where they have been drawn in the same group as top seeds Scotland and Denmark. The other group contains Ireland, the Netherlands and Jersey.
Guernsey’s junior teams were promoted into the European top flight after having proving themselves last season. ‘They seeded the draw so we knew we were going to get Scotland,’ said Jeremy Frith, the under-17s’ and island high-performance coach.
