BELS are the 2007-08 Priaulx champions. Their 2-0 win over Vale Rec at the Track last night ensured that they got their hands on the trophy that they last won in 2006.

‘It’s a great achievement by the players – they’ve worked really hard this season,’ said Bels’ coach Micky Ogier. ‘We’ve already won the Stranger and the Rawlinson cups and we’re still involved in the FA Cup and the Jeremie and we’re in the Upton now as well. Hopefully, if we can keep everyone fit and fighting for places, we might have a chance of another two or three cups.’

If Ogier was pleased with his team’s performance over the season, he was not so pleased with his team’s showing last night. In a match they dominated, they scored only twice and both goals came after midway in the second half. ‘We were rubbish tonight,’ said Ogier.
