Vidamour to make step up?

GUERNSEY Football Association vice-chairman Jeff Vidamour has emerged as favourite to take over the helm after the resignation of chairman Dave Nussbaumer.

Although he was away from the island yesterday and unable to make clear his intentions, a source closely involved with the GFA confirmed the possibility. There is every likelihood that the position will be filled at the AGM by an existing member of the association’s board, who meet on Monday to review the open forum.

But whispers are rife that Tony Blondel, a former island manager and Vale Rec club president, could yet stake a claim for the job.
