A TERRIBLE 20 minutes of football resulted in Guernsey’s women losing to Cornwall at the Corbet Field on Sunday.‘I’m extremely disappointed to have lost because it was a game that we should have won,’ said Guernsey coach Ian Champion.
‘We were miles on top and we were playing some good football and then we went to sleep and conceded three goals. The first half was the best I’ve ever seen from a Guernsey ladies’ team. We looked like scoring every time we went forward. We were the better side for sure. It’s so frustrating. We really, really should have won.’
