IAN MERRIEN missed out on the British Isles singles title in Perth yesterday.
The Guernsey and CI champion could not repeat his superb form of the previous day when he dumped out the Scottish hope, losing 21-12 to Craig Docherty of England.
Merrien started brightly enough on the tricky carpet with both players struggling to nail the jack. But the English international eventually took control when he took the mat, a move which surprised a number of watching England regulars.
