A BUS crashed into vehicles on the Church Road Motorcycles & Cars forecourt on Saturday, causing thousands of pounds-worth of damage.

The accident happened just before 2.15pm and left a red 4×4, which was parked in the road, with a burst tyre, two motorbikes and a white 4×4 on the forecourt badly damaged and a new Ford Ranger smashed.

It is thought that both the motorbikes and the Ranger, an off-road 4×4 pick-up worth just under £12,000, will have to be written-off. The bus driver has been suspended pending a police and Island Coachways investigation.
