JERSEY came from behind to win the under-15 schoolboy ‘Muratti’ at Springfield on Saturday afternoon after netting goals in first half stoppage time and then in the opening minute of the second half.
It was a victory Jersey deserved after creating the better of the chances throughout, but with just one goal in it, Guernsey were always in with a chance of taking the match into extra time.

But they were held at bay by some solid Jersey defending and, in the second period, Guernsey forced just two saves out of Jersey goalkeeper Curtis Hinault, who tipped over a rising shot and then finger-tipped away a free kick, both from Stuart Roussel. The boot was on the other foot in the opening 40 minutes, however, as Guernsey stopper Adam Bullock kept his colleagues in the game with excellent positional play and blocks with his feet from Elijah Bremmer-Hotton, twice, and Kamen Nafkha.
