HD misses first sailing

HD FERRIES has been forced to delay the resumption of its service by a day because a courier company apparently lost a vital part.

The company’s CEO, Chris Howe-Davies, has had to fly to Sweden to collect it so that no other sailings are called off.

HD1 had been due to resume its service between the Channel Islands and France on Thursday, but the relaunch will now take place on Friday, with sailings from Jersey to St Malo and Guernsey. It is not thought any Guernsey passengers will be affected by Thursday’s cancellations because HD1 was due to travel only from Jersey to St Malo and back.
