Jersey 5, Guernsey 0
JERSEY continued their dominance in the Primary Schools’ inter-insular at the weekend.
At a wet and windy Grainville on Sunday morning, Guernsey were on the receiving end of a 5-0 defeat in the annual under-11s’ clash. Jersey have won title four times out of the last five years.
The other was a draw. Over the last 14 years, Jersey have won nine while Guernsey have claimed three with the honours shared in the other two matches. ‘It’s a bit of a worrying pattern – I think they do put in a bit more time and effort,’ said Guernsey coach Joe Bailey.
