TIM TORODE is working overtime on his new single-seater racing car to get it ready for Monday’s first hill climb of the season. For the last 12 years, the 45-year-old plant operator has been the leading force in the saloon classes.
But he has now decided to move from his Wheeler Development Ford Anglia and try his luck in his Wheeler Development Mallock. However, despite working around the clock on the car’s bodywork, it may not be ready for the season’s curtain raiser on the Val des Terres.
‘I don’t think I’ll be making Monday,’ he said. ‘I’m just trying to give it a revamp from the one that I bought. I just want a new challenge.’
