Dublin direct air link is welcomed

FLYBE’S new direct flight to Dublin will prove popular, according to members of the business and Irish communities.

The new link will begin in June, with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Steve Le Page, chairman of the Guernsey International Business Association, said the announcement was good news for the island. ‘There are quite a few businesses which have close connections with Dublin and they will find it very useful,’ he said.

‘Obviously, business people would have liked to be able to get there and back on the same day but I think it should get reasonable use.’ He said business travellers might still use other means to get back to the island on the same day.
