MATT JENNINGS has received a bye in the first round of the National Senior ABA Championships.

The 31-year-old Guernsey boxer was due to contest the Western Counties title in Gloucestershire this weekend.

But a walkover now sees the island’s number one go through to the next round, the Southern Areas on Saturday 19 April.
