COMPANIES can increase their investor base by listing on a stock exchange, according to an expert in the field.
Speaking at the final Institute of Directors winter seminar, Ozannes partner Gavin Farrell said there were numerous reasons to do so. ‘Listing is an effective means of raising capital, it offers additional shareholder protection and enhances the value of a company’s shares,’ he said.
‘You also get a greater disclosure of a company’s information in the public domain and the prestige of the kite mark.’ Mr Farrell has multi-jurisdictional commercial experience in offshore funds.
