Former inmate of death row gives talk on crime

0556295.jpgTHE keynote speaker at a crime conference for Guernsey psychology students had spent 23 years in prison before being cleared of murder, rape and abduction.

Nick Yarris, pictured right, was a former death row inmate who was exonerated after DNA evidence finally proved his innocence.

He joined psychologists Dr Vicky Culpin and Sue Turney, as well as reformed prisoner Bob Turney, to discuss issues including rehabilitation, the perception of female offenders, whether individuals are born to kill, and the fallibility of eyewitness testimonies.
