Double singles success

NICO ROBINSON and Jack Oldfield were on form in Jersey at the BNP Paribas Junior Easter tennis tournament.

In the under-10 boys’ final, Oldfield beat Sean Lambert in three sets (4-2, 1-4, 4-2), while Robinson reached the under-18s’ final before losing to James Faudemer.

There was consolation for Robinson as he beat George Dupays 6-2, 6-0 for the under-16 trophy and paired with Simeon Entwhistle to beat Axel Staal and Henry Temple-Redshaw 6-2, 6-2 in the under-18 boys’ doubles.

The results earn players points towards the new AIB Grand Prix, the finals of which will be played as part of the Jersey ATP event in November.
