Legal framework ready if it comes to crunch

credit-cards5.jpgGUERNSEY is ideally placed to deal with the extra litigation business generated by the credit crunch, according to a legal expert.

Collas Day consultant Paul Arditti said the island had the expertise and facilities on tap. ‘There is a state-of-the-art court building so the litigation process is made much more efficient. It’s amazing how important the right facilities are.

‘It also has the experience and the right Law Officers to make decisions swiftly, the value of which cannot be underestimated. ‘I would say that Collas Day, Carey Olsen and Ozannes are held in extremely high esteem by the big City players when it comes to litigation expertise.’

Mr Arditti is a former partner of Ince and Co. and has 35 years of experience in the international litigation field.
