EIGHT more partial-ownership homes have been converted by the Guernsey Housing Association. Seven of the three-bedroomed properties were moved into two weeks ago while the eighth home will be occupied on Friday.

Chief executive Steve Williams said the scheme was gathering pace with six properties at Hougue a la Pere set to become available in July and another 25 at the same site coming on stream around the middle of 2009.

Contractors have also just started work on turning a number of former States houses into partial- ownership homes. The association is in the process of buying these from the States.
