DESTINATIONS around the world have become more accessible to islanders with the launch of a direct link to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The Commerce and Employment Department has reached an agreement with Flybe, which will start flying there on 11 July. Charles de Gaulle is the biggest of Paris’s three commercial airports and handles nearly 15m. more passengers every year than Gatwick.

Paris Beauvais Tille is also served from Guernsey, by Blue Islands. Commerce and Employment minister Stuart Falla said the new route was another success for the department’s route-development project.
