Names added to roll included one of dead person

ballotbox1.jpgCONCERNS about problems with the electoral roll continued to emerge throughout yesterday.

The Royal Court gave the States permission on Thursday to add 52 names to it, the largest number being in St Sampson’s. Vale candidates received eight names that had been left off due to an administration error.

Candidate and former Social Security minister Deputy Mary Lowe said that one of those was of someone who had died last year. ‘I am disappointed that the updated information going to the Royal Court still included somebody who had died,’ she said.
