GUERNSEY Live organisers have confirmed that 3,000 tickets have been sold for each day of this weekend’s event.

Warren Holt and Warren Le Sueur, the men behind Positiv Productions, remain upbeat. The festival has a capacity of 7,500 for both the Saturday and the Sunday.

Tickets will now be available at the site on both days. Mr Holt said only 1,700 tickets were sold in advance of the first Jersey Live.

‘Once people saw the scale of the event with their own eyes, we had an influx of ticket sales on the day,’ said Mr Holt.

‘We don’t want anybody to miss out on one of the biggest events Guernsey has ever seen.’

Tickets can be bought in advance from HMV, Wave Telecom, Number 19 Records and the Guernsey Information Centre.

HMV manager Andy Farley said that this week had seen an obvious increase in demand at his store.

‘Ticket sales have really picked up since Saturday and we expect that to continue. The weather forecast is meant to be good and I’m sure that has played a part in people waiting to buy.

‘And I think a lot of people have waited to see what their friends are doing, but the buzz is building.

‘I would urge people in the island to go because we need events like this. We must get behind it.’

Tickets are also available through Wave Telecom promotions.
