Most neighbours don’t mind Live

VICTORIA AVENUE residents had to grin and bear it as Guernsey’s biggest music festival took place on their doorsteps.

For those living closer to the action, sound vibration and noise posed a problem, while those living further away from the stage had few concerns. But a lot of people agreed that apart from some minor inconvenience - such as restricted access to the road itself - it was mostly bearable.

‘You can’t do anything about it. You’ve got to let the youngsters have their fun and give them something to do. It’s not like it’s every other weekend,’ said 89-year-old Amelia Le Pavoux.
