ROCHELLE VAUDIN ended Jersey’s six-match winning run in the Cimandis Women’s Muratti at Springfield.
Jersey paid the price for losing possession 25 yards from goal and Vaudin’s speculative rising shot flew into a top corner and out of the reach of Reds’ goalkeeper Helen Lagadu, in the closing minute of the first half.
It was certainly a strike worthy of winning any match and it will have made Jersey feel hard done by as they had the better of the few chances created and more possession and they were denied when Louise Van Der Vliet struck Guernsey’s crossbar in the first half.
