WATER POLO is making a return to Guernsey as part of swimming training for the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club. Squad members have for a few months been playing fun matches as part of their Thursday evening sessions and thoroughly enjoy a tough workout.

ASA lead tutor Mary Bainbridge has been in the island updating Swim School teachers in the teaching of adult and child swimming classes and while here she also conducted a water polo workshop.

The activity has recently been introduced into the new national plan for the teaching of swimming and as such is recognised as part of its long-term athlete development plan.
