A van belonging to Pulp juice bar was damaged on Liberation Day.
POLICE are seeking witnesses after a van was pushed into oncoming traffic.
The vehicle, which is owned by Pulp Juice Bar in Le Pollet, was parked in an alleyway next to the business when two youths got into it and pushed it into a car.
‘I was just taking a delivery into the shop,’ said owner Terry Quinn. ‘I was having a cup of coffee when one of the girls shouted that the van was in the middle of the road. I ran out and a couple of witnesses told me that they had seen two youths get into the van, let it go into the road and run off. It was very lucky that nobody was hurt as the Pollet was very busy.’
Mr Quinn said he wasn’t sure if he had left the keys in the van or whether they had let the handbrake off because it all happened so quickly.
The back bumper of the van was damaged and so was the car involved.
‘It just annoys me that these people could have caused a lot of injury. I am just hoping that the police caught them on camera. It could have killed somebody.’
The incident occurred at about 6pm on Liberation Day.
