ANOTHER great BSJA Guernsey Horse of the Year Show was given a fitting finale from a local perspective by The Settyres Trophy-winning senior home team.
Captain Inga Le Prevost, riding Personality, held her nerve superbly when last to go in the overall match and produced a clear round to add to two previous ones from her team as Jersey were beaten in the inter-insular contest.
Le Prevost’s faultless display also earned the home side a chance of victory in the Ringer Memorial Trophy, which included quartets from England and the King’s Troop as well as the two Channel Islands.
The side from England, however, proved just too strong in the jump-off and they claimed that prize.
There was more to celebrate for Guernsey team member Emma Dorey at the after-show presentations.
Her combination with Snaffles Purple Patch earned the Keen Trophy and sash outright as well as a share in three other awards.
Katie Fallaize, riding JM Breezer, was another multiple winner at the presentations, while junior Laura Davison and pony Elmdale Expression claimed both the Carpenter and BSJA Guernsey trophies to cap a fine season.
