SQ... if only that was true!

It's not just teenagers, it's folk well into their twenties. On the mainland some of the most reckless drivers are 'respected businessmen', some in their 30s and 40s.

What we need is to remove the 'right' to have a driving licence and actually make the test MUCH harder (like Finland's for instance) and then make it a '2 strikes and you're out' rule for reckless or dangerous driving (and this does not necessarily mean just excessive speed). 2 warnings and if you're caught a third time your licence is revoked PERMANENTLY with absolutely no chance of getting it back when you're older.

I think 2 warnings is plenty and honestly believe this kind of system is the only way to solve the problem. We should not assume that everyone can have a driver's licence, it should be well and truly earned!

this will be teenagers unfortunately. Teenagers know virtually nothing about anything, they actually make me feel quite angry about this. Other people innocents in these incidents could have had their lives ruined. Im all for increasing the age for driving to 25. Lets keep the kids off the roads.

Paul:
I believe what thomas is saying is that yes speed Can be a factor in crashes, but often they are just due to not paying attention.
Whereas if you are driving at high speeds you know the risk of a crash is increased so you tend to pay more attention.
I am not saying this goes for everyone however, as this site has proved.

Thomas
Read through what you wrote above and comment again. You contradict yourself at the same time as tying to do the same with others. Quite sad really!

Its like cats and dogs on here.

Rather than commenting on other people's driving skills take a look at your own. Touch wood, keep fingers crossed that you will not be involved in a serious accident.

Guernsey have such small roads, too small even for a 35mph limit. Maybe if you people drove responsibly, maybe there wouldn be any accidents. Speed is factor of accidents but not always. When you drive fast, you are obviously more aware on what you are doing rather than someone who is driving slow and breaking the law by entering into a no-entry road and not stopping at a yellow line!

Look long and hard on what you put in the public domain. It is not intelligent or even worth a comment!

Why does guernsey allow such high performance cars on its roads anyway? The so called speedlimit is only 35mph so it seems such a waste of a potentially good car. By not having enough long straight roads cant that be harmfull both to car and environment? It seems that such a small island does not need such big cars so why not downsize ALL cars i am sure that there is no need for zooped up cars or giant 4x4s on an island like guernsey ITS TOO SMALL.

Let's hope that many people have checked out the site, noted the names of the losers that are on it and start making these people feel like the social pariahs that they really are.

Let's start making their lives hell (legally of course) by letting them know what useless little scumbags they are. These people will never amount to anything in life so it's time we let them know that.

Donald Remfrey
You write utter rubbish. Why don't we relax firearm laws then and see what this will bring. Going into town will quickly become a scene more like New York, London or moss side. Guns are not dangerous in themselves but the person in charge of the weapon can become lethal. We are all capable of anything. Did you miss the media on the double shooting by a firearms certified user, you must have?

To get a firearms certificate is practically impossible,to get a driving license is as easy as falling off a horse, and far more people die from incompetant drivers than those possesing weapons.

Whoooopi!!

In the good old days such people were simply forced to join the army...

Not a bad idea if you ask me..

Come to think of it, don`t you think we could do with some of our own daredevils on the front line in Afganistan and/or Iraq..
Just give them each a land rover and point them in the appropriate direction..

A good way to clear the minefields in advance of the movement of regular troups.

Why don't these muppets join the thriving Channel Island motorsport scene and put their supposed fast driving skills ( if you can call them that) to a proper test rather than wasting time and money on fast road cars that they are obviously not capable or legally able to drive properly?

lol

You can delete them, as an owner you can contact facebook admin directly and ask for the complete removal.

You will always have idiots in cars, the only difference was years ago you were lucky if you could own and insure a 1 litre metro, now the idiots are behind skylines and scoobys and most of these are performance modded.

I bet if you checked half of them haven't declared the mods making their insurance worthless.
