AS HUNDREDS of sporting visitors streamed into the island for the Easter break, locals on two and four wheels produced some of the most brilliant performances.

Closing Vazon coast road for a holiday afternoon can never be described as a worthless exercise when the quality of racing is as good as it was on Saturday.

Competitors were simply glad to be back racing again, a feeling summed up by one of stars of the show, Scott Rayson.

‘It’s what we’ve all been waiting for. There’s been a lot of anticipation.’ he said.

Hundreds watched as Rayson, Steve Marquis and Mark Stanford claimed new class bests on four wheels, while Ben Carre, Adam Girard and Jess Mann did likewise on two.
