DRIVING rain and gale-force winds could not prevent Shane Le Poidevin, Ozzy Ozanne and Rachel Bihet shining in round three of the Winter Championship.

Le Poidevin in fact won both standard tyres races at Chouet without too much trouble from Dan Pinchemain in race one and Peter Rose in race two.

That now leaves him five points ahead of Rose after three meetings.

Pinchemain lies third in the accumulated totals.

Le Poidevin was never headed in either race and is looking for the title at this early stage in the season.

Ozanne again took maximum points to make it three out of three meetings in the defence of his Winter Championship.

Leeroy Sebire could not catch the Honda in the final, but brought his own version into second place from Callum Queripel.

This meant a 1-2-3 for Team 2Fast 2Serious in this race.

Sebire is in second place in the points while Sunday’s points haul moves Queripel into fourth place, one behind brother Jamie.

Bihet took only three laps to establish a safe first place in the women’s race, eventually beating Tessa Le Gallez into second place.

With Marilyn Robilliard finishing third, all three drivers now share the lead on seven points.

Linda Jones is still in touch, three adrift after gaining one point at the meeting.

In the teams title chase, defending champs 2Fast 2Serious are on 65 points, Bad Boys on 28 and new team Scooby Doo’s on 26.Guernsey Autocross Winter Championship: Wet and windy for round three at Chouet Beach
