Warren picked up medial ligament damage to a knee in Saints’ win over Sylvans on Saturday and will be out for three to four weeks said island boss Tony Vance after watching his team come through unscathed against the Devonians on a heavy pitch.
After conceding an equaliser on the brink of half-time, Guernsey romped away in the second half and were well worth their win.
The hope is now that they can transfer the form into a competitive match against Hertfordshire at the Corbet Field on Saturday and, further ahead, the Muratti showdown.
‘We tried a few things out and it was important to give everyone 45 minutes to make sure they were on the pace for Saturday,’ said Vance.
‘The first 15 minutes we weren’t, but after that we adjusted to the pace of the game and what we had to do with and without possession.’ he added.
