Alexis ConranSTEALING and scamming people is now easier than it has ever been, according to the star and co-writer of TV’s The Real Hustle.

Alexis Conran (pictured), who was in the island to speak at the Insurance Institute of Guernsey’s annual awards dinner, said technological advances were making it easier for scammers to take advantage.

Well a simple solution is turn off your wi-fi when your not using it or if you must have it on all the time get a program that shows you the pcs connected to the wi-fi. If its large companies well they should have full time protection. As for people getting scammed if you have not entered a lottery then you have not won. Certainly never send someone some money to receive your winnings that’s just stupid. If a bank sends an email and says there’s a problem with your account and asks you to connect to them through a link to renter your information DONT! This will be a scammer. Just think if you are tempted by the lure of money or prizes or someone is trying to scare you in an email the chances are it’s a scammer.
