ALMOST 100 attended the Women’s Development Forum’s first ever ‘glass ladder’ lunch meeting.
The first of the lunches, which are specifically for women working within the business community who have aspirations to move up the corporate ladder, saw a panel of leading Guernsey businesswomen discuss the issues facing females in the workplace.
The forum, which has been revamped this year after originally launching in 2009, aims to see that 30% of senior leaders on the island are women by 2020.
FTSE non-executive directors Carol Goodwin and Denise Mileham joined Anne Ewing, Institute of Directors Guernsey branch chairwoman, and Elizabeth Dorsch, Deutsche Bank’s chief operating officer, to discuss the role of women in the workplace.
