GUERNSEY photography has broken new ground in the deserts of California.

The team from Karl Taylor Photography said that they had ‘No Regrets’ when their cinematic efforts of the same name ended up taking a top award, judged by Hollywood director Oliver Stone.

‘The award came as a complete surprise,’ said Mr Taylor.

‘We were all obviously ecstatic, and to win an award on our first short film judged by the man who made Platoon, Wall Street and JFK was incredible, especially as originally we only intended to demonstrate the techniques of filming rather than make a complete piece in itself.’
