GUERNSEY remains home to more non-UK entities listed on the London Stock Exchange than any other jurisdiction globally, according to figures from the market authority.
LSE data shows that at the end of December 2011 there were 108 Guernsey-incorporated entities listed on either the main market, Aim, the alternative investment market, the specialist fund market, or as ‘trading only’.
This is well ahead of major economic powers – the USA leads the way with 47 listings – and competitor centres including Jersey (69), Ireland (57), the Isle of Man (53) and the Cayman Islands (45). The island leads the way on listings on the main LSE market among its competitors, with almost double the listings from Jersey.
Guernsey is also home to nearly three-quarters of all listings on the SFM.
