Think of Guernsey when tough decisions are made

GLOBAL funds companies operating in Guernsey have been urged to think positively of the island when critical decisions are being taken about their future.
Horace Camp, pictured, chairman of the Guernsey Investment Funds Association, said that it was vital for the sector and the island to protect jobs.
‘Guernsey has been very good to the funds industry over the years,’ he said at the Gifa annual dinner.
‘We’ve been able to achieve phenomenal growth and it has been good for funds, the work coming into Guernsey has been very good to see.
‘For business leaders from our industry here, Guernsey needs our help to feed the exchequer money, and the way we do that is to ensure that we keep a good level of high-paid jobs here in these difficult times.
‘I’m asking one thing when you are making those difficult decisions – to think of Guernsey.’
