Business groups to be asked what they want from GTA
Wednesday 21st August 2013, 10:00AM BST.
THE GTA University Centre’s new interim chief executive will talk to business organisations to determine how best to take the organisation forward.
Dr Elaine Monkhouse, pictured, who was named recently as the GTA’s new head, said: ‘One of my priorities will be to speak with all the industry groups, such as the Guernsey Investment Funds Association, the Guernsey International Business Association, Institute of Directors and Chamber of Commerce, at the earliest opportunity to make sure that I understand what they are looking for from the GTA.
‘That is not new, there has always been a good dialogue with them, but I want to hear their thoughts and where they see their future needs. The GTA provides excellent courses to meet business needs, but where does it go next?’
Dr Monkhouse said the GTA also needed to look at the way in which technology is impacting on how students learn.
