Chief executive of CISX in surprise resignation
Tuesday 17th September 2013, 10:00AM BST.
THE long-serving chief executive of the Channel Island Stock Exchange has resigned.
Tamara Menteshvili, pictured, had headed the exchange since its launch in 1998.
Her departure was announced on the exchange’s website late last week, but many senior business figures were caught unaware by the news.
The statement on www.cisx.com said that Ms Menteshvili left ‘with the thanks and good wishes’ of the directors, who noted ‘her efforts in helping to found and develop the exchange to the institution it has become today’.
In turn, she ‘wishes the board well for the future growth of the exchange’.
The exchange would not comment further and Ms Menteshvili could not be contacted yesterday.
