Dude - really?? Signficant?! Minor perhaps. And phasing it out, IF it results in stabilising (ie reducing) house prices, then there will be a lot of negative equity - and THAT'S a bad downward spiral which apart from the obvious problems for the individuals will hit the tax take in the form of stamp duty big time. THere are far more far better ways to increase revenue.
