Spartacus - a very interesting observation. If you are implying that Education has only papered over the cracks you would be absolutely right. Another crisis in Education is looming I'm sad to say. Having got rid of Neale/Steere we now have Buckland/Sillars which is a much more disturbing combination. At least Derek Neale knew something about education.
