PLP A very accurate summary. I know that re St Andrews if the likes of Mike O'Hara hadn't fought tooth and nail to save it, then re-election next time around would have been impossible. But politicians are not paid to the popular thing and to ensure that they get re-elected. They are paid to make decisions in the best interests of Guernsey, whilst at the same time representing those who elected them. A blatant conflict of interests in many instances. All that tells me is that without political parties such conflicts will always exist.
