Johno / JJ I haven't been to a single game, why would I when I totally disagree with the whole concept? What I HAVE done is talked to many people who have been, many of whom (not all admittedly) know nothing about football whatsoever. they freely admit it's just a "social" outing for them. It is this class of "fan" who will disappear when the novelty wears off and/or GFC stop winning by 3/4/5 goals most weeks and/or they actually start playing games in inclement weather. There is nothing sexist about my post at all, it's simple fact, so trying to play that card is a little bit silly really. You seem to be arguing that the entire point of GFC is to provide "fans" with entertainment, whereas I seem to recall that the original "point" was to raise the overall standard of Guernsey football (throughout the leagues) and put players in "the shop window" in order that professional clubs would be able to snap them up. How many players have turned pro as a result of GFC? The GFC enthusiasts change their argument as often as they have their hair done, whereas my view has always been the same; the project is doomed, and Guernsey football on the whole will suffer as a result.
