Zab Just because somebody does not have a Norman name does not mean that they are not local. I was born here, my mother's family originated from Brittany and came here about 500 years or so ago and my father's family came here from the UK in around 1750. I have an English surname. Am I not "local" just because I don't have a Norman (or Breton) surname? Should that rule me out of holding a senior post in government on the island? Its a free world - you can say what you like (within reason), but don't expect to get away with making stupid comments like that without a few firm responses.
