The only way high street shopping is even remotely viable is: Being fully stocked Dropping the rents Dropping the prices Training staff adequately (more than just a grunt would suffice) Open longer hours I finish work at 5.00 every weekday, if I want to buy something in town the only day I would have is Saturday but it's my weekend and I'd rather chill out than bus into town to get something they may or may not have at a price much higher than I could otherwise purchase it.
