Totally agree re staff training and customer service. The High Street in Guernsey is pretty awful in terms of customer service. The sad thing is that polite and helpful staff seems to be the exception, rather than the rule. The attitude in shops in the UK seems different at the moment - you can have a degree and not get a job in Tesco!
