The average person in the street is clearly worried by the continuing restructuring of businesses and the resulting job losses. What's more worrying is that our C&E Deputy, Kevin Stewart believes this is because of issues specific to HSBC. Err...wake up Mr Stewart and get your head out of the sand. While you're at it...knudge the other Deputies also with you. The issues surrounding these business restructuring/relocating is much more general and specific to the island economy than you clearly think. The world has moved on. There are equally skilled and less expensive work forces elsewhere. I work in the Finance Industry and there will be more to come.
